I was bored in the normal career that I had been in for 35 years and I wanted a change.  At 49 years old I went back to school and started over.  Graduating from Rankin Tech at the top of my class, I really enjoyed school and my new career in Kitchen and Laundry appliance repair.

I started out working for another company in the St Louis and Fenton area but felt customers deserved more than that company was offering.  I wanted to give the customers the same service and honesty that I wanted from others.

This was my inspiration for starting Appliance-Mend.

When I enter your home I will ask you a bunch of questions.  My goal is to get to know your appliance and its issues.  I will diagnose the problem and let you know the cost to repair those issues.  Most appliances can be repaired much cheaper than buying new but there are times when repairing an old appliance is no longer the best value to the customer.  I will never talk you into repairing such an appliance and will often tell you that I would not if that is the truth.

Once you decide to repair your appliance I will take care to be quick, thorough, and careful.  Like I said, I will treat you the way I would want to be treated.  I will explain what the problem is, what needs to be replaced, and how I plan to go about it.  You will know how the machine works and why it doesn't.

After I started my company I realized that many other companies would not work on all brands like LG and Samsung.  My first thought was to seek out specific education on those two brands so I could fill that need.  My first educational journey was to Huntsville, Alabama where I spent a week training on LG appliances.  Since then I have been to Nashville, Tampa, and San Antonio, spending a week at each to learn Samsung, Whirlpool, GE, Bosch, and Speed Queen.  Each year I travel to another location for more training.  This expense is skipped by most appliance repair companies but I feel it is a great value to my trade.  Most manufacturers have hired me to work for them when they have problems with a customer's appliance that is under warranty.

I don't have trainees, apprentices, or any employees.  You will always get me, my training, and my values.
